Who is the IFG Neustadt/Weinstraße?

Since 2013 the association has been called "IHR FREUNDLICHEN GASTGEBER Neustadt an der Weinstraße e.V.", abbreviated IFG Neustadt/Weinstr.. The abbreviation IFG already existed in the founding year 1987. The three letters stood at that time for what the association is still today: a community of interests for the landlords of holiday flats and guest rooms, with seat in Neustadt / Weinstraße.

The creative renaming is only one feature of the further development of the association, in a time which is characterized by new means of communication, especially the Internet, and new challenges in tourism.
Since 2013, the association has intensified its marketing and public presence, particularly on the Internet, which is playing an increasingly important role in the search for holiday accommodation.
Since January 2019, the completely newly developed website ifg-neustadt.de has been online with new services for holidaymakers: Above all, the accommodation portal was completely redesigned and a customer-oriented search function was introduced.

Purpose of the association:

The association would like to promote tourism and support its members in occupying their holiday flats, guest rooms and transitional flats. The focus of the activities is on guests and people from near and far who are interested in a holiday in the Palatinate. The IFG Neustadt would like to make it as easy as possible for these people to find suitable accommodation for their holidays in Neustadt and its wine villages.

The IFG Neustadt sees a further task in representing its interests vis-à-vis the bodies of the city of Neustadt an der Weinstraße and vis-à-vis Tourist-, Kongress- und Saalbau GmbH, the city's company responsible for tourism. Economically the association is not aimed at making a profit, but at covering costs.
